Coolsculpting – Lose Localized Fat Deposits Non-surgically

Coolsculpting – Lose Localized Fat Deposits Non-surgically

Cool Sculpting is among the best non-surgical fat reduction procedures that you can have with no risks. This cosmetic procedure uses a machine which delivers cold energy to permanently destroy fat cells. Destroyed fat cells are slowly absorbed by the body and naturally expelled. Fat will not form on sculptured areas. A certified aesthetician should perform the fat reduction procedure for you for good results. Having the procedure at an accredited medical facility like Skin Deep Medical Spa under the management of Dr. Bloch, a board-certified plastic surgeon from Chicago will also ensure your safety. You can set a consultation meeting at skindeepmedicalspa.com to have the body contouring in the state-of-the-art facility.

How do I prepare for a nonsurgical fat reduction procedure?

Your surgeon will provide you with pretreatment instructions and answer any questions that you may have.

In advance of your procedure, your surgeon will ask you to:

    • Stop smoking before undergoing treatment to promote better healing.
    • Avoid taking aspirin, certain anti-inflammatory drugs and some herbal medications that can cause increased bleeding.
    • Regardless of the type of procedure to be performed, hydration is very important before and after treatment for safe recovery.

Nonsurgical fat reduction is usually performed on an outpatient basis. Be sure to arrange for someone to drive you home after treatment and stay with you at least the first night following treatment.

How is CoolSculpting done?

Your CoolSculpting procedure can be done while you are lying down and anesthesia may not be necessary. When starting your fat reduction procedure, your aesthetician will place the Coolsculpting machine on your fatty area. The machine features two cooling plates and vacuum power. Once the device is turned on, fat bulge is held between the two cooling plates by a strong vacuum. Your physician then controls the temperatures of the device to destroy fat cells. The machine spares your skin, nerves, and blood vessels from any form of injury. You will experience mild pulling, cold and numbness on the area being treated. Treatment takes about an hour per treatment area. You can go home on the same day of treatment.

How does CoolSculpting recovery feel like?

CoolSculpting has minimal downtime compared to other fat reduction procedures. Mild pain and bruising may, however, occur in some cases which can easily be dealt with by use of prescribed pain killers. These mild side effects, however, disappear after a few days. You will be able to resume work immediately after treatment. After a few weeks, gradual fat reduction will be noticed following the initial single treatment. The initial treatment can shrink fat by 20 to 25%. Your aesthetician may, however, recommend additional treatment after 2-3 months after which full results will be more evident.

What will happen to my skin?

The skin has the ability to expand and contract.  But this is not endless.  Mild skin laxity or droopiness will typically contract just fine.  The droopiness is from being stretched by the fat, previous pregnancy, or previous weight issues.  The skin and connective tissues maintain much of the elasticity and will contract.  However, more severe skin laxity (such as bad stretch marks, tissue paper consistency, skin that is deflated and hangs like an apron) may not contract much or at all.   Your health care professional has the experience to predict what will likely happen with your skin.  In most cases the skin just shrinks right along with the fat.
