Ultrasound

Think about ultrasound energy like sunlight. A magnifying glass can focus sunlight to ignite paper. Above and below the point of focus, paper does not burn. In a similar manner, by focusing ultrasound energy, only fat near the focus point is injured. Your skin (above the focus point) and tissue (below the focus point) are protected. What happens during Liposonix®

Fat treatment with Liposonix takes 30 to 60 minutes. The treatment is performed while you are lying on a bed. After you undress your waist area, your aesthetician will mark out all areas that need treatment. Next, gel is applied to those areas. The marked areas are then pulsated with the handheld treatment head of the Liposonix® system. Your physician will be able to precisely monitor fatty areas on a monitor connected to the system. As the device is moved on your body, you will feel different levels of intensity. If any discomfort is experienced, you can inform your healthcare provider to adjust the temperature. Sensations of cold, tingling, pricking, heat or warmth are felt during treatment and are generally described as mild.
