About the Procedure
An incision is made across the lower abdomen that spans to the hips. A second incision is made to free the umbilicus from surrounding skin so that it will remain undisturbed. Skin is then separated from the abdominal wall and elevated above the rib cage. To tighten the abdominal wall, full tummy tuck expert, Dr. Bloch brings loose underlying tissue and muscle together with sutures.
The elevated skin is lowered and the excess is removed. Dr. Bloch then makes a small opening for the umbilicus. It is positioned where the old one had been. Incisions are closed and a firm elastic dressing is applied.
