in Highland Park, IL

What is Sculptra Aesthetic?

Sculptra Aesthetic is an injectable poly-L-lactic acid that is FDA approved for the correction of shallow to deep nasolabial folds (smile lines) and other facial wrinkles. This injection restores and corrects the natural signs of facial fat loss. Treatments provide an increase in skin thickness of the areas where volume fat has been lost, helping to restore fullness to the face for a more youthful appearance and gradually reducing wrinkles and folds on specific areas of the face.

About this treatment

It primarily consists of poly-L-lactic acid, a synthetic material that is naturally absorbed by the body. It has been used in dissolvable stitches for many years. Sculptra Aesthetic is approved by the FDA and has been in use around the world since the year 1999.

Dr. Bloch from Body by Bloch is a board-certified plastic surgeon that is highly experienced in providing Highland Park Sculptra and related treatments.

How does it work?

It will work gradually after being injected into the areas where wrinkles and folds need to be eliminated. Unlike many anti-aging treatments available in the market, it reduces the aging signs gradually over time but the results can last for to 2 years or longer. It is recommended for patients looking for long-term outcomes and not the short-term results of about six months that most fillers achieve. After your treatment with Sculptra Highland Park patients will not look as if they have had any work done on their treated areas.
